World Cup 2022: Five Ghanaian players among 134 EPL players to feature at Mundial

Ghanaian players namely, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Daniel Amartey and Tariq Lamptey are among English Premier League players set to participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Ayew plies his trade for Crystal Palace whiles Mohammed Salisu plays for Southampton. Tariq Lamptey and Daniel Amartey features for Brighton and Leicester City respectively.

The biggest soccer mundial will kick start today, November 20, 2022, with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy.

The Black Stars who are returning to the global showpiece after missing out in Russia 2018 has been housed in Group H against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Ghana will open their campaign with a clash against former European champions Portugal before taking on South Korea and Uruguay in subsequent games.

The Premier League has by far contributed the greatest number of players to the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. There will be 134 Premier League players in Qatar with the Ghanaian quartet no exception.

Manchester City has contributed the most players from a single club (16), followed by their rivals Man United with 14, then Chelsea (12) and Tottenham with 11 players. Arsenal complete the top five with 10 players.
