SEOUL, -- FIFA's World Cup website has smashed all records for hits. The previous record of 350 million page views was set in the 2000 Sydney Olympics over a three week period.
The FIFAWorldCup.com site has already clocked up 464 million since the start of the tournament on May 31. Several days ago the site had over 106 million for a new one-day record.
"The site has become the most used sports site in history. It leaves all other sports websites in the dust," said FIFA spokesman Keith Cooper.
