XI Wonders subdue Revolutionary Stars

Kofi Ayim Eleven Wonders beat Anowah Revolutionary Stars 3-1 in their Republic Day celebration football match played at Adeiso near Nsawam on Sunday.

Left Winger Kwame Agyemang netted the first goal for Wonders through a free kick in the 17th minute.

Centre forward Ernest Appau added the second goal in the 65th minute when he headed home a lob from the left frank.

Stars fought back gamely from then on, and beat down the scores to 2-1 when midfielder Seidu Yahaya capitalised on a goalmouth action to score in the 85th minute. Appau sealed the doom of Stars in the 87th minute when he netted the third goal.

And at Adenta in Accra, visiting Madina Kissi Stars beat Adenta F/C 1-0 in their third division football league match played at Adenta near Madina on Sunday.

Centre forward Bashiru Gambo netted the only goal of the match in the 65th minute.

Adenta F/C launched a last minute onslaught but good defensive network ably supported by good goalkeeping by Prince Baffoe robbed the home team of any goal.
