Yakubu?s demand

KOLKATA, India Oct. 21. ? Indian Club, Mohun Bagan, were today put through the wringer by Yussif Yakubu, the Churchill Brothers striker, who ?wants the entire amount of his salary for six months paid in advance.?

A contract can be reached only if the cash is paid to him in his native Ghana, Mr Balaram Choudhury, assistant general secretary revealed to a local newspaper today.

Although Mr Choudhury declined to go into the details of the payment-related talks with Yakubu, reliable sources pegged the projected monthly takings of the prolific scorer at ?slightly below Barreto?s,? which had been some $8000 a month.
