Ghanaian attacker Yaw Yeboah inspired CD Numencia to record their first win of the 2018/19 Spanish Segunda Division on Sunday.

The 21-year-old returned to Ghana to sort out issues with his visa hence missing the match against Lugo last weekend.

The former Manchester City youngster walked straight into the starting line-up of Aritz Lopez Garai's side after rejoining his teammates during the week and played a significant role as they collected their first win of the second-tier campaign.

The Rojiblancos were handed the maximum points courtesy Guillermo Fernández Hierro's 30th minute penalty strike.

Yeboah was adjudged the most valuable player of the game - his second of the campaign after bagging the accolade in their 1-1 stalemate with Cadiz.

Statistics from the league's mother body indicate that the former Right to Dream Academy product alongside Granada attacker Alvaro Vadillo have highest number of successful dribbles in the division.

He has scored once in three league games for CD Numancia.
