Yeboah To Get Frankfurt Return?

HAMBURG striker Tony Yeboah is being lined up for a return to Eintracht Frankfurt, with speculation in Germany suggesting that the club are looking to sign him on a Bosman this summer.

The Ghanaian international is expected to leave the Volksparkstadion in the summer when his contract expires after his stay at the club has turned a little sour in recent weeks.

He has to report to a Frankfurt police station every week after a tax evasion case and this has not gone down well with manager Frank Pagelsdorf, leading to the former Leeds United front-man losing his regular place in the side. It is now believed that Hamburg will not offer the 34-year-old a new contract for next season, and Frankfurt coach Felix Magath is said to be looking to take him to the club, who he left in 1996 for Elland Road.

Yeboah has always stated that he would like to return to the Waldstadion in the future, and the only stumbling block to a move could be his reported ?900,000 salary.

"Tony is a good striker," said Magath. "He has felt very comfortable here in Frankfurt."
