Newly promoted side Huddersfield Town will not be signing Ghana international and Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom after talks broke down between the two parties for the move.
The 25-year-old Ghana defender, who arrived from League Two side Barnet in May 2016, was left out of last weekend’s home defeat by Ipswich having started their two previous games.
Manager Hecking bottom had hinted earlier that talks with Premier League newcomers were ongoing.
Hecking bottom can relax now, the latest news is that the move has broken down and Huddersfield will no longer be signing the defender, despite boss David Wagner openly stating his interest in the player.
It is not known whether he failed his medical but he will now remain at West Yorkshire.
Now the question is whether he will be trusted at the club and go on to get more playing time.
With 2018 World Cup qualifiers around the corner he will be hoping to get more playing time to make Coach Kwesi Appiah’s set up.
Yiadom made 33 appearances for the Championship club last season.
