Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has lauded AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic for ‘the good atmosphere at the club’, but has a word of advice for striker Mario Balotelli.
Mihajlovic was named coach of the Rossoneri last summer following a disappointing season, while Balotelli, with just a goal in 13 appearances this campaign, is in his second spell at San Siro on a season-long loan from English side Liverpool.
Both men have been criticized under various circumstances for the team’s topsy-turvy run in the current campaign, with the team currently sitting on sixth position on the league log.
“There is a good atmosphere and I have heard good things about Mihajlovic,” Muntari told MilanChannel.
“The players are working hard and well. This is the reason why the team wins and performs well. I hope Milan win every competition they take part in.
“[Juraj] Kucka battles and always works hard for his team-mates. I think [Carlos] Bacca will get back on the score-sheet again soon while I also think [Mario] Balotelli has to start scoring again and being a key player.”
Muntari, currently plying his trade with Arabian side Al Ittihad, represented Milan between 2012 and 2015, making 70 league appearances.
