A Senior Lecturer of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has bemoaned the stunted development in Ghana especially in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region, especially in the last two years of the Akufo-Addo’s led government.
Dr. Jasaw, who was also the Deputy Campaign Manager for Former President Mahama’s Flagbearership contest for the 2020 general elections, made this known while donating sets of computers to some schools in the Wa East District.
He indicated, that he had gone round the constituency and felt disturbed by the slow pace of development, especially in the past two years, expressing his willingness to continuously support the constituents by liaising with cooperate bodies and other agencies to provide some of the basic amenities needed to ameliorate the living conditions of the people in the District.
The set of computers he donated to Funsi Roman Catholic Basic School and Kundugu Basic School, were provided by the NASCO Feeding Minds Foundation which is working to improve ICT Education in Northern Ghana.
While calling on individuals and other development partners to support the District in these trying times, he assured the residents that he will use his wide network to support more schools in the District with teaching and learning materials.
