Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has urged Ghanaians to be patient with the national team as the players need time to harmonize and develop their teamwork.

On Monday night, Addo led his youthful squad to a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier.

The match, held at the Baba Yara Stadium, saw a standout performance from Jordan Ayew, who scored three goals, while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku also found the net.

Ayew and Thomas Partey are among the few seasoned players in the current lineup.

Addo emphasized the need for time for the younger players to adjust and integrate.

"I hope that Ghanaians give us time. It's always difficult because after this, the guys will be on a break and then coached with different ideas, and then I will come with different ideas too," Otto Addo stated.

"It’s always challenging as I have to analyze our opponents and find the best solutions. Our approach to the next game will also be shaped by how our opponents play.

"The players are very young, but they will grow and learn to adapt. They will recognize the right situations and make the right decisions with time," Addo added.

With this win, Ghana now leads Group I, having secured nine points from four games.
