Youth and Sports Minister inspects ongoing works on Youth Resource Centre in Axim

The Minister for Youth and Sports Isaac Kwame Esiama on Thursday, 11th January, 2019 visited the ongoing ultra-modern Youth Resource Centre in Axim in the Western Region.

According to him, the inspection form part of government efforts to ensure that the project is being executed within the period given to the contractor.

The project he said “is also going to equip and encourage more youth who are average in knowledge to also benefit through their training, skills and aspirations in order to develop the sports ministry in Ghana”.

The 5000-seater ultra-modern Youth Resource Centre contains an ICT centre, counselling centre, Track and multi Purpose Sports Courts, Athletics Tatiana, Fifa Standard Pitch, Modern Restaurant, Washrooms and Toilets Facilities.

The project which commenced on the 30th of April, 2016 in fulfillment of the Presidents promise to give the youths good sports centers across the country and also to help shape the morals and boost the potentials of the youth in Nzema Area.

The Minister for Tourism and Culture, Catherine Afeku who doubles as the Members of Parliament for Evalue-Gwira-Ajomoro constituency also expressed her gratitude to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Esiama for their tremendous support to sports and their vision to give the communities sports stadiums.

This she said will enhance talents in her constituency.
