Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yussif Chibsah has recalled how he felt on his first outing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko after his mega transfer from king Faisal.
The midfielder signed for the Porcupines Warriors in 2003 after impressing on his 6 year spell at King Faisal.
His first game for Asante Kotoko didn’t come against any club than their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak.
Chibsah said he felt very good facing the Phobians because of how his coaches had prepared him for the game.
“It was a very good game but, actually I had no panics, tension or anything of that sort.
“Because in my previous three seasons at King Faisal, I played against Hearts of oak and most of the players are my friends too.
“Any Asante Kotoko player’s first game against Hearts of oak will define your future so I was very cautious and does exactly what I was instructed to do.
“My coaches at the time Abdul Razak and Frimpong Manso gave me a lot of courage hence I was very calm throughout the game.”
Kotoko won the game by 2-0 courtesy goals from Issac Boakye and Micheal Osei.
