Eleven Wonders returned to winning ways as they defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 in Week 14 of the Zylofon Premier League at the Nana Ohene Ameyaw Park on Wednesday.
Eleven Wonders were hoping to return to winning ways following last-gasp defeat at Dreams FC over the weekend while Dreams went into the with the aim of extending their last week's 1-0 win over league leaders Medeama SC.
But it was the hosts who looked determined to claim the maximum points as they controlled the tempo of the match and deservedly went ahead in the Benjamin Owusu in the 18th minute.
The hosts threatened to extend their lead thereon but failed to convert the chances that came their way.
Chelsea improved midway through the game and had two clear chances to get back into the match but fluffed their lines at the final third of the pitch.
Wonders sealed the victory in the 42nd-minute courtesy former Portland Timbers striker Fatawu Safiu.
Wonders move to 9th on the log with 17 points while Berekum Chelsea sit just beneath them in 10th position with 16 points.
