Elmina Sharks were held to a 2-2 draw by Ebusua Dwarfs on Match Day 14 of the Zylofon Premier League at the Ndoum Stadium on Wednesday.
Sharks, who lost their five-match unbeaten run in the 2-0 defeat Asante Kotoko over the weekend, were poised to bounce back quickly when they welcome regional rivals Ebusua Dwarfs to the Ndoum Stadium.
Coach Yaw Frimpong's charges started the game brightly by deploying a high-octane in a bid to open the scoring but Dwarfs curtailed their attacks.
Sharks impressive to the match paid off when Yakubu Mohammed, who joined the side from on-loan Asante Kotoko last week, fired them ahead in the 19th minute with a bullet free-kick.
But their lead didn't last as Amos Kofi Nkrumah pulled parity on half-hour mark with a close-range finish to send the visiting fans into frenzy mood.
Just four minutes after conceding the equalizer, Sharks regained their lead through Yakubu Mohammed, who fired his curling shot beyond the reach of goalkeeper Razak Issah.
The hosts looked to be ending the half with a win but Kofi Nkrumah had other ideas as he levelled the scoreline again on the 40th-minute mark from the penalty spot.
By virtue of the draw, Sharks move to 8th spot with 19 points while Dwarfs remain 14th with 13 points.
