Kumasi Asante Kotoko have dismissed reports that Ishmael Addo would soon join the team.
The former Hearts of Oak arch-predator has in the last few days been linked to a move to Kotoko after talk about a return to his former club fizzled out.
And is believed to have already begun training with the Porcupine Warriors in Kumasi.
But Jarvis Peprah, acting Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko, told Joy Sports, the club has not approached Addo for his signature.
?I can say on authority that there?s never been any discussion about getting Ishmael to play for Asante Kotoko.
?We understand that his wife is in Kumasi and also he has other businesses in Kumasi. So when he came to Kumasi and with his friends (Taylor) playing for Kotoko, he joined our regular training to keep fit.
?And that is what happened that Friday when he appeared on our training grounds.
?There?s never been any discussion about recruiting Ishmael. So it was only on Friday. I mean that was the end of it.?
