Accra - The Vice-Chairman of GFA and Chairman of Accra Great Olympics, Mr. Ade Coker has reacted again to the Gbadegbe Commission report by declaring his innocence to The Accra Mail. The paper had called on him to find out more about his feelings towards the issue, which has made headlines in almost all the media.

On whether Olympics transferred Awuley Quaye Jnr. into 'slavery' for 10 years without the player's knowledge and in contravention of GFA regulations, he said this particular statement is misleading and without substance. To buttress his position he said, "We only transferred the player to a Spanish club, Mallorca, for which the GFA issued an International Transfer Certificate on October 8, 1997. The player with the support of his father later signed a management contract with Messrs Bahia Torneous Conctertos of Madrid of Spain for a period of 10 years. It is therefore wrong for the Gbadegbe Commission to crucify us for a crime we did not commit," he stressed.

Explaining the second filing of under-declaration of the contract sum of goalkeeper Richard Kingston, Mr. Coker again said he was innocent.

He noted that Olympics only received $90,000 of the contract sum of $150,000 while $60,000 went to agents who facilitated the transfer.

Mr. Coker emphasised that he is ready to go to any length to clear his name.
