Black Stars and Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien, had a state of what celebrity status in a developing country like Ghana can be.

He never suspected someone would make him out through the tainted windows of the Black BMW saloon car he and a colleague were in.

But last Tuesday, July 11 at about 4.15 pm, just as he and his colleague got to the Neoplan station, he was spotted by the ?Neoplan boys.?

Within a twinkle of an eye, and like vultures descending on a carcass, the car was surrounded by cheering crowd, creating temporary traffic from the entrance of Neoplan station to the traffic light about 150 metres ahead.

When his car finally moved an over-joyed fan could not help but jumped on the boot of the car for a brief joy ride before gleefully jumping off.

But that was not the end, one of the boys? managed to get a scooter and escorted Essien?s car through the former PTC building to Glenns before branching off.
