Accra, Feb. 5, GNA-This year's Achimota Golf Club President's Putter Championship tees off at Achimota in Accra on Saturday, February 10.
Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club, who announced this in Accra on Monday, said the one-day 18-Hole stable-ford competition which opens to amateurs and professionals in the Greater Accra Region, was being sponsored by Mr. Mike Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club.
He said the event, which was expected to attract about 150 golfers, shall be played under the local rules of the club and the World's Golf Governing body.
Mr Oteng-Aboagye named some of the golfers, who had registered for the competition as Dan Dennis, Seth Squire, Sam Sowah, Paul List, and Mike Aggrey, all of the Achimotoa Golf Club.
The Tema team, which would be led by their captain, Kofi Gyau, included Felix Owusu-Adjapong and Bright Adablanu. The Professionals would begin their 36-Hole Scratch competition on Friday, February 9 and ends on Saturday, February 10.
