Tema, Feb. 19, GNA - The annual Tema Country Golf Club President's Putter Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Sunday, February 25.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said the One-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition was opened to amateur and professional golfers from the Greater Accra Region.
The Championship is being sponsored by Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Tema Country Golf Club who is also the Majority Leader in Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.
Mr Adablanu said the Club was doing everything possible to ensure that the Course was put in proper shape to make it conducive for play. The Chief Executive Officer said some of the players who had signed up for the competition which tees off at 0700 hours, are I.N.K. Asempah, F. K. Ocansey, John Dagadu, Bright Adablanu and Alex Fiagomey all of Tema.
The Ladies section will also see Margaret Owusu-Baah, Esi Cobbina and Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong also of Tema. Five prizes will be awarded in the Men's event while three will be given in the Ladies category.
