New Yeovil Town signing,Lloyd Owusu has set sights on his return to the senior national team the Black Stars.

Speaking to allghanasoccer.com,the former brentford topsman said,

"A lot of my family is in Ghana. "My mum and dad are going back there all the time.

My aunts and uncles are there and i have really missed Ghana.

"The family is all rooting for me to get back in the squad and if I do, that will be brilliant."

Owusu, now 30, could have World Cup finals appearances under his belt already had it not

been for a cruel twist of fate 16 months ago.

"My last game for Ghana was back in April 2006," he said.

"We had a friendly against VFB Stuttgart and unfortunately for myself I ripped my groin and I

was out for a whole year.

"It was unfortunate but luckily I had the chance and was allowed to go out with the squad for

10 days at the World Cup.

"I watched the boys play a couple of games and that was a great experience.

"It inspired me to want to play again and I am not getting any younger.

"I am 30 now and I want to try to say I have had a good career in respect of internationals,

so if I get the opportunity to play I will be more than delighted."

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Reading ace said: "I don't think anyone will stand in my way if am

invited by the new manager of the stars because, it is every player's dream to play for their country and

if I am involved it will be good for my club.

"My aim is to score goals for my new club and after that things will come my way hopefully.

"I am hoping the new manager of the stars will invite me.
