Hangzou, Sept 15, GNA - Ghana's Black Queens trainer, Isaac Paha has admitted that his charges are not up to the World Cup standard. Coach Paha said this after he supervised his team's second consecutive fall at the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup currently underway in China.

The coach who saw his side crumble under an ordinary Canadian side 0-4 said after the game that, "We came here to play but clearly, most of the teams are ahead of us in all aspects.

"It is obvious we must work very hard in all areas to be able to catch up.

"Football is a progressive game and it is crucial that we work very hard towards growth."

The Queens fared poorly against the Canadians and yet the trainer insists only "little mistakes caused us."

The Queens would next play Norway in their last group game on Wednesday, in which they would be searching for a win for the restoration of their pride.

Coach Paha said the team, representing Africa alongside Nigeria would go into the next game with a face saving approach in their quest to bow out with at least a point.

Ghana is chasing a point at the one-week old event in a group that has Canada, Norway and Australia. This is the Ghanaians third appearance at the competition that is in its fifth edition. 15 Sept. 07
