ETOILE du Sahel midfielder, Moussa Narry, who has been invited by Black Stars coach Claude LeRoy for the 4 nation tournament currently underway in Accra, says he's happy to contribute his quota to help Ghana annex the African Cup on Nations trophy next year.
In an interview with 90 Minutes, the 24 year old midfielder who was born in Maradi, Niger said, “after earning my first cap for Ghana against the Togolese national team, I hope to become a permanent feature in the Black stars set-up and pray to God that I give off my best anytime I'm called upon.”
Throwing more light on his decision to swap Niger whom he represented at the youth level for Ghana, he said “I decided to play for Ghana on my own free accord and therefore wrote to FIFA myself for the necessary changes in documentation to be effected, so I don't think I will encounter any problems” He continued “ I even received a call from the coach of the senior national team of Niger who wanted to find out whether it was true that I had opted to play for Ghana, but after explaining my circumstances to him, he wished me good luck”
On the controversy surrounding his real name, Moussa who scored the final goal in Etoile du Sahel's historic 3-1 victory over Al Ahly to lift the MTN CAF Champions league trophy last three weeks said “My real name is Moses Narh, but when I went to play for the Tunisians, they changed my name to Moussa Narry but I have since began moves to rectify the anomaly even though the officials of Etoile think it won't be possible.”
He called on Ghanaians to pray for him to produce the form that has made him a household name in Tunisia for the Black Stars.
