Accra, Feb. 7, GNA - The Acting Director of Police Public Affairs, DSP Kwesi Ofori, has appealed to Ghanaians to exercise restraint when celebrating Black Stars' victory in the on-going African Cup of Nations. He said jubilant fans should be mindful of such celebrations, especially after Thursday's semi-final match between Ghana and Cameroun and any subsequent victory, to avoid death or injuries. He told the Ghana News Agency that the Police Administration would wish that no one would throw offensive objects or block roads and engage in fireworks, adding that such acts constitute breach of the law. DSP Ofori advised that fans wishing to celebrate should go to places such as fun parks, restaurants and drinking bars. He called for co-operation from members of the public to ensure peaceful jubilation.
