Accra, Feb. 13, GNA - The February Medal of the Achimota Golf Club tees off at Achimota Golf course in Accra on Saturday, February 16. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club told GNA Sports on Wednesday, that 120 golfers are expected to participate in the competition, which would be open to amateur golfers throughout the country. He said the Club was putting up preparations to ensure that the competition was keenly contested. Mr Oteng-Aboagye announced that five prizes would be awarded in the Men's category while three would go to the Ladies event. There would also be prizes for 'Longest Drive on Hole 18' and the 'Nearest to the Pin'. Meanwhile Tema Country Golf Club would also play its February Medal on the same day at Tema. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Club the competition would tee-off at 0600 hours.
