Intermediate course for Judo coaches

Accra, April 1, GNA - The Ghana Judo Association (GJA) in collaboration with the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has initiated a nine day intermediate coaching course for Judo coaches in the country.
About 24 participants drawn from the ten regions of Ghana and five officials will update their knowledge on the sport fixed for April 3-11 at the C.K. Gyamfi Sports College, Winneba.
A statement issued and signed by Patrick Anyidoho, General Secretary of the GJA copied to the GNA Sports said the 24 participants, made up of 21 men and four women will be equipped with basic skills in break falls, grip manoeuvres, fighting techniques and the rules governing the sport.
Anyidoho said the programme forms part of the activities drawn up by the National Sports Council (NSC), the GOC and the GJA to spread the sport to every corner of the country through effective coaching and practical lessons.
