Accra, April 8, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has advised stakeholders to play their roles for a successful Division One League (DOL) this season. The DOL and other lower division leagues are set to commence this week-end and league-clubs' parent body believes the major stakeholders will play key roles.

A statement signed by Kurt E.S. Okraku, Administrative Manager of GHALCA copied to the GNA Sports underscored the need for all to respect referees, players and all to ensure smooth running of the two leagues. Mr Okraku noted that Ghana's current positioning in the football industry as a key player should encourage all to live, abide and play the game in a true spirit of comradeship.

"To our players, we expect you to play above yourselves to ensure that your club wins every game."

He also warned the match officials to apply the rules of the game to promote FIFA's quest of fair play. The GHALCA Administrative Manager urged fans to throng to the various venues to support their teams to victory. He commended the GFA in its quest to secure sponsorship for the lower football leagues. 08 April 08
