Peace Exhibition match re-scheduled for Oct. 25

Accra, Oct 23, GNA - Authentic Sports Networx, organizers of the Peace Exhibition match has re-scheduled the event for Saturday, October 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.

The match which pits a select side from the Southern Sector against their Northern Sector counterparts and aimed at fostering unity and social cohesion among the citizenry ahead of the December general elections was originally scheduled for Sunday, October 25. It was pushed back following a clash with the final match of the GHALCA Top Four Tournament also slated for the same venue. The latest development, according to Listowell Bukarson, Sports Manager of Authentic Sports Networx was arrived at after a marathon meeting between his outfit, the National Sports Council and GHALCA earlier in the week.

He told GNA Sports the game which kicks-off at 18:00GMT will be preceded by a musical explosion by renowned artistes including Lord Kenya, Obour, Phillipa Baafi, Okyeame Quame and Christiana Love. This side attraction will be a game involving the Parliament XI and the Showbiz II to be consisted by musicians, comedians, Ministers of the gospel and media personnel.

Kumasi-based actress, Nana Ama McBrown will feature as a guest player for the Showbiz team.

In the main football match, Oti Akenten and Isaac "Opeele" Boateng will handle the Southern Sector whilst 'Golden Boy' Abdul Razak and Mohammed Gargo take charge of the Northern Sector team.
