Accra, Nov. 5, GNA - The First Audi Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course, Accra on Saturday, November 15. Mr Kwabena Oteng Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Wednesday, said about 100 golfers have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.
He said the event, which would be play inn accordance with the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club, will be sponsored by Stallion Ghana Limited. He said the Club has put in place adequate preparations including turning the browns into greens and expressed the hope that a keen competition would be conducted. Charles Tabi, Emmanuel Kwame, Paul List, Daniel List, Matthias Dorfe, Wisdom Asempah and Mike Ezan, all of the Achimota Golf Club are expected in action.
The Ladies category would also witness a stiff opposition from 'Golf Hemaa' Mona Myres-Lamptey, Clara Price, Francisca Vandyck, Esi Cobbina and Mary Asafo-Adjaye. Meanwhile, the Achimota Golf Club would host their November Medal Championship on Saturday, November 8. 05 Nov. 08
