THE chase for Ghana's “Prince of Goals”, Prince Tagoe, has hottened up in the past week with English Premiership side Fulham the latest to join Valencia, Villarreal, Rennes, and Hoffenheim in a five horse race for the prolific finisher. Confidential information made available to this paper indicates that Fulham notified Tagoe last Thursday of their intention to bring him to Craven Cottage at the end of the season. The English side accor-ding to our re-port are very much interested in the Ghanaian striker and are prepared to bait him with a lucrative deal to beat off competition for his signature. “Aside of Valencia and Hoffenheim, Fulham have also declared their interest and I'm delighted as my dream is to play in the English Premiership and it would be a delight to play alongside John Paintsil,” Tagoe told 90 MINUTES.

Tagoe admitted however that he would take several factors into consideration before deciding on his next destination. “Whichever club I decide to join eventually should not affect my place in the Black Stars as my biggest priority like all others is to be part of the Ghana squad for the 2010 World Cup. I have to make sure that I join a club that I can play day in and day out and not just go and warm the bench and lose my place in the national team,” he added. When 90 MINUTES contacted John Paintsil of Fulham's interest in Prince Tagoe, he confirmed to us: “Yeah the Fulham scouts contacted me and asked me about Prince Tagoe which I gave them my opinion and told them that Prince is my national team colleague and a deadly finisher as well.”
