Senegal beat Ghana 3-1 to qualify for final of WAFU tournament

APA - Lagos (Nigeria) The Teranga Lions of Senegal on Friday defeated their Ghanaian counterparts 3-1, in the on-going West African Football Union (WAFU) tournament.

The match, which was the second semi-final match played at the MKO Abiola Stadium Abeokuta in Abeokuta, south-western Nigeria, saw the score at full time as goalless.

The four goals of the match came at the extra time with Senegal scoring 3 goals as against a lone goal from the Ghanaian team.

With this result, Senegal will meet Nigeria in the final of the tournament at the MKO Abiola Stadium on Sunday.

Nigeria came from behind to beat Senegal 2-1 during the Group A preliminary matches of the tournament.
