Both sides played well with their intensions manifesting in every move from the very start. The two goal areas were kept boiling but it was Nuhu Fuseini's goal in the first half that made the difference. The homers gained the upper hand midway into the game and when Fuseini was sent through from the middle, he took his chance and hit the back of the net with Ashgold goalkeeper Fatua Dauda compromised in the 25th minutes. The visitors fought back in search of an equalizer that proved elusive with countless wasted opportunities.
