Goran Stevanovic and Humberto Coelho arrived in Accra on Thursday night ahead of interviews for the vacant Ghana coaching post.
The two European coaches will be joined by local manager Herbert Addo for Friday’s interviews after being short-listed.
Five coaches were short-listed but Marcel Desailly citing the delays in the naming of a new coach, withdrew, while Turk Can Vanli was axed for falsifying his CV.
The three remaining coaches are seeking to replace Serbian Milovan Rajevac, who opted not to renew his expired contract in September.
Serbian Stevanovic and Portuguese manager Coelho as well as Addo will be grilled by a panel made up of experienced Ghana FA administrators and coaches.
They will be examined on their plans for the Black Stars, their problems solving skills, their ability to improvise and cope with difficult condition.
Stevanovic is the favourite because of his impressive CV and achievements as he was the assistant coach of the Serbia team that impressed at the 2006 World Cup.
He also led Serbian side Partizan Belgrade to the league title and the lack of African experience could count against him even though Rajevac excelled with the Black Stars without African experience.
Coelho, on the other hand, has got rich African experience having led the national teams of Tunisia and Morocco.
But the Portuguese manager’s failure with both countries will strongly count against him as his only achievement was to send his native country to the semis of the 2000 European Championship.
Addo will also be favoured because of his immense knowledge of the local terrain but his lack of experience in dealing with world-class players at the highest level could be his undoing.
