Sunyani, (B/A) Dec. 17, GNA - The MTN-Sponsored F.A. Soccer match involving B.A. United and visiting Tumu Liverpool F/C from the Upper West Region scheduled at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Thursday failed to come on because the visitors failed to report for the match.

The appointed match officials made up David Yawson and his assistants, Blessing Dakpoe and Prince Owusu-Ansah as well as the fourth referee, Abdulai Mbey from Wenchi and the players and team officials of B.A. United were arrived at the Coronation Park ready for the match.

After waiting for over 30 minutes without the presence of Liverpool FC, referee Yawson whistled to call off the match. Later in an interview with GNA Sports in Sunyani, Referee Yawson only said that he will submit his report to Accra.

Meanwhile Mr Anthony Asante, Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) later hinted GNA Sports that the Upper West Region RFA Chairman at Wa had informed him around 10 am on phone about the difficulty Liverpool was encountering in getting means of transport for the team to travel to Sunyani to honour the match

The Coronation Park had witnessed few spectators since the commencement of the F.A. matches with the poor attendance evident in the two previous matches of Berekum Berlin F/C versus Techiman Union Rovers and D/C United=

from Sunyani against Savelugu Bimbidie.
