Prince Tagoe is a former Black Stars striker
Former Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe has said that most Ghanaian supporters believe that the current players in the national team are not benevolent or generous enough.
He explained that members of the national team are expected to show generosity and compassion, particularly to the underprivileged, so they can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and contribute to positive change in society.
The former Al-Ittihad attacker noted that such acts attract blessings for the team spiritually and also protect the players, helping them to excel.

“To what I see as a player or as an ex-player, when we were playing, I’ll go back to what I said before. It’s not that we were too good, but I think we had certain good luck and spiritual backing that protected the team. And these things always come with giving."
“When you’re a player or a Black Stars player, if you don’t show love to the people who cheer you on or the people you knew when you started, it becomes a problem. These are the same people who make sure they pray for the team, because sometimes we contribute, we do charity, and all those things,” he said.
Prince Tagoe disclosed that the vast majority of fans who watch Black Stars matches believe the players are not generous, which could be a contributing factor to their struggles.
He urged the players and the technical team to embark on charity work and show kindness to people around them.
“So I want to see more of that in the new team, because I don’t think this current team does it enough. Let me tell you something: some of us were in Ghana, and excuse me to say, I can tell you that 90% of the people who watch the current Black Stars say they are stingy,” he added.
