Ibrahim Tanko is the head coach of Medeama SC
The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has rallied his players to move on from their defeat to Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Tarkwa-based outfit hosted their Week 25 opponent at the TnA Stadium on Sunday and suffered a 2–1 defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
The loss means Medeama SC are now winless in their last five Ghana Premier League matches, a run that is their worst since the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko emphasised that his team must focus on their upcoming matches, insisting that they must return to winning ways as soon as possible.
“We have to put it in our back because we still have nine games to play. I think I have to meet with the players and then see the way forward. This was a bad day for us; everything we did was bad, so I think we have to put it behind us and concentrate on the next game,” Tanko said.
The Medeama SC boss continued, “I’m not happy with some of their attitude. We have to look at our game, talk about it, and concentrate on the next game.”
After the Week 25 defeat to Hohoe United, Medeama SC will now take on Attram De Visser in the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday, March 15.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. at the Cape Coast Stadium.
