Otto Addo set to name Black Stars squad for Austria and Germany friendlies

Black Stars coach, Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad this week for the Upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany.

The Black Stars will first face Austria on March 27, 2026, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT.

The friendly is expected to give the technical team an important opportunity to assess player form, tactical cohesion and squad depth as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Following the encounter in Vienna, Ghana will travel to Stuttgart for another high-profile friendly against Germany on March 30.

The four-time world champions, who last won the global showpiece in 2014 are expected to provide a stern test for the Black Stars.

Coach Otto Addo and his technical staff are expected to select a strong and balanced squad for both fixtures as they look to fine-tune tactics, strengthen team chemistry, and evaluate key players ahead of the tournament.

The Black Stars will be making their fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup and have been drawn in Group L alongside the Panama, England and Croatia .

Ghana will open its campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and wrapping up their group-stage fixtures against Croatia on June 27.
