Otto Addo names Black Stars squad for Austria and Germany friendlies

Otto Addo has named a 26-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany later in March 2026.

The Black Stars will first travel to Vienna to face Austria on March 27, before heading to Stuttgart for a high-profile clash against Germany on March 30, 2026.

The matches are expected to provide a strong test for Ghana as the team continues preparations for upcoming international competitions.

Addo’s squad features several new faces, with debut call-ups handed to Marvin Senaya, Derrick Luckassen, Daniel Agyei and Patric Pfeiffer. The quartet will be hoping to impress as they look to establish themselves in the national team setup.

Among the goalkeepers selected are Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare and Joseph Anang.

In defence, Addo has called up players including Alexander Djiku, Jerome Opoku, Gideon Mensah and Derrick Köhn.

The midfield will be anchored by experienced figures such as Thomas Partey and Elisha Owusu, alongside Ibrahim Sulemana and Kwasi Sibo.

In attack, Ghana will rely on a mix of experience and youthful energy, with players like Jordan Ayew, Iñaki Williams, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo and Kamal-Deen Sulemana leading the line.

The friendlies are expected to allow Addo to assess his squad depth while integrating new players into the Black Stars setup.
