Very wretched performance for Black Stars- unable to win AFCON in 44 years- going almost 5 decades, and no hope they can win it this decade. Infact Ghana won Afcon when only 4 to 8 countries participated. Since it went to 12 Afrucan nations to 16 and now 24 Countries it has been no shows!

Infact Ghana won its 4 Afcon trophies when Cameroon had none, but since then Cameroon has won 5 Afcon titles, 3 of which were earned in the 21st century- 2000, 2002 and 2017. Egypt has won 7 Afcon titles 5 of which were earned after Ghana had its 4th Afcon in 1982- 1986, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Ivory Coast had no title when Ghana had her last (4th) title in 1982, but has since then won 3 titles in 1992, 2015 and 2023. Senegal has won it's 2 titles this century (2021 & 2025). Even the much maligned Nigerians have won it twice after Ghana won its last in 1982. And you wonder why Ghana is not ranked amongst African top 10 in Fifa rankings.
