GPL Match Report: Asante Kotoko return to winning ways with victory over Nations FC

Asante Kotoko have ended their 2-game winless run after beating neighbors Nations Football Club on matchday 26 of the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors carried the day with a 3-0 score line against Nations FC on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Striker Albert Amoah began the demolition exercise for the Porcupine Warriors in the 23rd minute.

Amoah scored after out-jumping his marker to direct Kotei’s delightful delivery into the net.

The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Asante Kotoko as the home team were able to hold onto the lead given to them by Albert Amoah.

Captained Ndongani Samba Gilbani and striker Morifing Donzo add two more goals for Asante Kotoko from the penalty spot in the 86th minute and stoppage time to complete the home victory.

The victory takes Asante Kotoko to the third position on the Ghana Premier League table while Nations FC fall to the 11th position.
