The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwa has disclosed that he suffered emotional distress while supporting Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

He noted that the team was performing brilliantly, so he had full confidence in them to win games as usual.

However, there was a time when the team played in African competitions against Egyptian clubs Al Ahly and Zamalek, and the results did not go as he expected.

The pollster revealed that he was devastated by the outcome to the extent that he “nearly had a heart attack,” which led him to quit being a fan of football clubs to avoid such a horrible experience.

“I nearly had a heart attack… Kotoko vs Al Ahly and Kotoko vs Hearts of Oak—it was not easy… it was a disaster, so I stopped supporting teams,” he said.

Mussa Dankwa further indicated that when he traveled to the United Kingdom, he developed an interest in football teams again.

He then decided to support Chelsea Football Club, saying: “Eventually, when I was in the UK, I started supporting Chelsea.”

Dankwa is known for conducting polls on elections and predicting outcomes, but he has rejected calls by football fans to replicate the same method for matches.
