Brazil legend Romário dumped by girlfriend after alleged affair with her close friend

Brazilian football legend, Romário has reportedly been dumped by his girlfriend after being accused of cheating with one of her close friends.

The 60-year-old former striker had been dating dentistry student Tiffany Barcelos, who is 35 years younger than him.

However, the relationship is said to have collapsed after allegations emerged that Romário had grown close to Tiffany’s friend, Barbara Cavalcanti.

The situation has been described by observers as a “double betrayal” because Barbara was part of Tiffany’s inner circle.

According to reports, Tiffany quickly ended the relationship once she became aware of the situation.

She unfollowed both Romário and Barbara on social media and deleted his comments from her posts, a move widely interpreted as confirmation of the split.

The controversy surfaced after Romário was spotted in Fernando de Noronha, one of Brazil’s most popular tourist destinations, alongside Barbara.

Photos circulating online showed the pair with a group of friends, while some fans claimed they saw them holding hands, intensifying speculation about their relationship.

The development came as a surprise to some, as Tiffany had reportedly been with Romário only days earlier.

She had even attended a casual football match with the former forward in Rio de Janeiro.

Sources say tensions began when she realised she would not be joining the Noronha trip, only to later discover that her friend Barbara was part of the group.

Romário had not kept his relationship with Tiffany private, frequently praising her on social media and calling her “beautiful” and “wonderful.”

Their romance lasted around three months and included trips to places such as Buenos Aires.

Neither Romário, Tiffany, nor Barbara has publicly commented on the reported breakup.
