Former Black Stars defender Edwin Gyimah’s sister, Felicia, has asked for her brother’s forgiveness following a heated family dispute over the alleged takeover of the ex-footballer’s eight-bedroom house.

She made the appeal during an interview on Auntie Naa’s Oyerepa show on April 15, 2026, after the presenter’s team, alongside police officers, visited the property to evict the family from the ex-player’s house.

After the operation, Felicia broke down in tears and called for peace, expressing regret over how events had unfolded.

“Gyimah is my sibling and I love him from the bottom of my heart. Whatever it is, I am asking for forgiveness. He is my younger brother,” she said.

Felicia, together with their mother, also appealed for permission to stay in the house for about six months as they look for a new place to live.

However, reports suggest the footballer remains firm in his decision, insisting they leave the property immediately.

“The house is his, but we are asking for six months to find somewhere else to stay,” she shared.

Background

The dispute first gained public attention on April 9, 2026, when Gyimah took his sister and immediate family members to Auntie Naa’s Oyerepa Afutuo show over a long-standing conflict.

During the session on Oyerepa FM, the 35-year-old former Orlando Pirates defender opened up about the challenges he has faced since his football career declined.

He claimed that spiritual attacks from some relatives played a role in his sudden downturn, adding that people he once trusted had turned against him.

Gyimah further accused his family, particularly Felicia, of neglect and unlawfully occupying his eight-bedroom home while he and his wife and children were left without stable housing.
