Kazali Iddrisu delivered a standout performance to claim gold in the men’s 200m at the MTN Champs Season 4 Grand Final in Nigeria, capping off an impressive showing on the international stage.

The T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Kumasi, athlete surged to victory in a blistering time of 21.28 seconds, a new personal best that underlined his growing status as one of Ghana’s brightest sprint prospects.

With a powerful bend and a composed finish, Kazali held off a strong field to secure the top spot on the podium.

Nigeria’s Liberty Okon settled for silver in 21.56 seconds, while Abdul-Rahman Adewale Jimoh took bronze with a time of 21.74 seconds.

Kazali’s triumph in the 200m comes just days after he had already made headlines in the 400m event. The young sprinter clinched silver in the U20 400m final, clocking another personal best of 46.68 seconds, narrowly missing out on gold by just six-hundredths of a second behind Dominion Udoh.

Despite the near miss in the 400m, Kazali showed resilience and class by bouncing back strongly in the shorter sprint, where his speed and execution proved decisive.
