Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury setback.

Kudus began his Tottenham career brightly with impressive performances, but an injury has since hampered his progress and kept him sidelined.

The 25-year-old sustained a significant thigh/hamstring injury against Sunderland on January 4, 2026.

It was initially reported that he had begun his recovery and was expected to return before the end of the season to help Tottenham salvage their campaign and avoid relegation.

However, on April 9, 2026, reports indicated that Kudus suffered a fresh setback during his recovery, ruling him out for an even longer period.

Speaking on the development, the Spurs boss expressed sympathy for the Black Stars attacker, who was eager to help the club in their fight to escape relegation.

De Zerbi noted that he had been counting on Kudus to return and contribute to the team’s performance but described the latest setback as unfortunate.

“Kudus, for this season, is gone. I am sorry for him, first of all, because he is a good guy. He should have been very important for us, but we lose time if we speak about the past,” he told the media.

Ghanaians are hopeful that Kudus will recover in time to join the Black Stars for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as his absence would be a major blow to the team.
