Father storms pitch and attacks referee after son’s red card

Chaos erupted at a youth football game at Rock Creek Park after a parent invaded the pitch and assaulted the referee following his son’s dismissal.

The incident occurred during an Under-15 match, when the young player was shown a red card by the referee.

Moments later, his father charged onto the field in anger, confronting the official in shocking scenes.

Videos circulating show the man punching the referee before chasing him across the pitch and kicking his legs, sparking panic among players and spectators.

As the situation escalated, other parents rushed in to restrain the attacker and prevent further harm.

In a striking moment, the player at the center of the incident, visibly distressed, was seen trying to hold his father back and stop the confrontation.

The match was immediately disrupted as officials and organizers worked to restore calm.

Authorities are expected to review the matter, and the individual involved could face sanctions, including bans from attending future matches.
