Abedi Pele (L) and Ousmane Dembele (R) have all scored in back-to-back CL semi-final games
Ousmane Dembélé has written his name into an exclusive piece of Champions League history after scoring in both legs of Paris Saint-Germain’s semi-final victory over Bayern Munich.
The French winger struck twice in PSG’s chaotic 5-4 first-leg win in Paris before scoring again in the return leg in Germany as the French champions progressed 6-5 on aggregate to reach another UEFA Champions League final.
In doing so, Dembélé joined a tiny group of players who have managed to score in back-to-back Champions League semi-final matches for a French club.
One of those names is Ghana legend Abedi Pele.

The former Marseille star achieved the feat during the 1990-91 European Cup campaign when he scored in both semi-final legs against Spartak Moscow as the French giants reached the final.
Abedi would later become one of Africa’s greatest-ever footballers and played a key role in Marseille’s dominance in Europe during the early 1990s.
Another player to achieve the milestone was Fernando Morientes, who scored in consecutive semi-final matches for Monaco during their memorable 2003-04 Champions League run.
Morientes inspired the Ligue 1 side to the final after eliminating Chelsea in the last four.
Now, Dembélé has added his name to that exclusive list after another decisive European performance for PSG.
The 28-year-old has been one of the standout performers in this season’s Champions League, combining goals with creativity as Luis Enrique’s side chase back-to-back European titles.
