  Modern pole vault poles are primarily constructed from composite materials, specifically fiberglass or a combination of fiberglass and carbon fiber, embedded in resin. I wonder what type of pole this pole vaulter was using. Also from the video, you could see that crossbar had a lag in it bending in the middle. It's embarrassing that the implements being used are substandard.
