Paris Saint-Germain players celebrated their second Champions League title
A prophecy delivered by Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, Founder and Leader of Reign House Chapel International, has generated reactions following the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Arsenal.
The prophet, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, told his congregation that PSG would win the UEFA Champions League.
According to him, despite being an Arsenal fan, he had seen in a vision that PSG would emerge victorious.
"I see PSG winning the Champions League. I was surprised because I am an Arsenal fan myself, but that is what I see," he said.
His prophecy came to pass on Saturday, May 30, 2026, when Paris Saint-Germain retained the UEFA Champions League title after defeating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the final played in Budapest.
The victory underlined PSG's status as one of European football's greatest teams, making them only the second club in the Champions League era to successfully defend the title.
The French giants had also won the trophy the previous season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in Munich.
PSG go back-to-back and join 'greatest of all time'
In doing so, PSG became the first team to retain the Champions League since Real Madrid's historic three-peat between 2016 and 2018. Across the competition's 71-year history, PSG is only the 10th club to win successive European titles.
