The event is geared towards honoring fathers
GhanaWeb, Ghana's leading digital news and online advertising platform, will host the 2026 edition of its flagship Father’s Day event, A Walk With Dad, on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
The event aims to celebrate fathers and strengthen family bonds through fitness, fellowship, and shared experiences.
Under the theme “Climb for Bonding, Step by Step, Side by Side,” the event will bring together fathers, children, families, and members of the public for an early morning walk along one of Accra’s scenic routes.

Participants will gather at the Ayi Mensah Toll Booth at 6:00 a.m. before embarking on the walk, which will end at Lodge Tavern in the Aburi enclave.
According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to encourage meaningful interaction between fathers and their children while promoting healthy lifestyles and stronger family relationships.
The event forms part of activities marking Father’s Day and seeks to highlight the vital role fathers play in nurturing, mentoring, and supporting their families and communities.
A Walk With Dad 2026 will offer participants an opportunity to connect, exercise, and create lasting memories in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
GhanaWeb has encouraged fathers, guardians, families, corporate organisations, and the general public to participate and support efforts aimed at promoting family cohesion and positive parenting.
Individuals and organisations interested in sponsorship opportunities, participation, or event updates can contact the organisers through the designated hotlines: 026 600 0818 and 0536620530.
