Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has arrived at the Black Stars’ team hotel in Toronto, as Ghana’s build-up to their World Cup clash against Panama on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, gathers significant national attention.
Her visit forms part of high-level government and leadership support for the national team ahead of Wednesday’s Group L encounter at BMO Field.
The Vice President is expected to interact with players and technical staff, offering encouragement as Ghana prepares for its opening match of the tournament.
Her arrival comes amid a wave of Ghanaian presence in Canada, headlined by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who received a rousing welcome at Toronto Pearson International Airport earlier in the day.
